Levofloxacin warning!  Google it if your doc has prescribed it!

2 wasted days!  Family sick with nasty cold/cough/flu etc etc. 

Doctor prescribed Levofloxacin -- one of the fluoroquinolone family and THE SINGLE MOST DEADLY-DANGEROUS ANTIOBIOTIC ON THE MARKET!  Great doctor.  

So be sure to Google the meds your doc prescribes and be careful of anything like Levofloxacin.  Causes permanent blindness, permanents double vision, rupture of the achilles tendon and other tendons, arthritis, seizures, death, etc etc.  Highest rate of Serious Adverse Effects of any antibiotic.  

In Thailand you can buy antibiotics without a scrip, so I bought plain old safe Erythromycin and we're doing fine.  

Maybe tomorrrow I can get back to work?

Once a doctor prescribed to me something for my non-allergic something that it turns out I did not have. But I had problems with breathing. The medicine was going to help me with my allergy-like symptoms, unless it caused me cardiac arrest or give me permanent shortness of breath.
I decided to take up jogging and exercises regularly. It's worked.

wow... that's scary. I'm never sick and if I'm not feeling well or feel a pain somewhere, I take natural medicines and do self-hypnosis (lol, I'm crazy but it works!!) and try to stay away as much as I can from all antibiotics and meds in general. That's a great advice to google the meds!

They put my 94 year old aunt on Levofloxacin. She was in such pain from her tendons shortening (one of the side effects). I wasn't there but her daughter had a fit. You have to check and double check prescriptions theses days. If in the hospital, you need a strong advocate.
