Lunch in Chinatown in Africa
Last Update: June 02, 2012
As we often do, we just had a delicious Chinese meal in Johannesburg's Chinatown, a suburb called Cyrildene. All the shop owners are Chinese or Taiwanese. The food is authentic, and the shops are stocked with their native products. Many of the staff are black South Africans, further proof that South Africa is truly the 'Rainbow Nation' it professes to be.
And did you know that the largest population of Indians outside of India is here in Durban, South Africa? The Indian restaurants here are amazing!
Back to business.... my next step is to change the DNS on my Brainhost and Hostzilla domains to WA. if I do this, do I lose all the 'extras' that I paid a fortune for to Brainhost? This technical part is not my favorite.... but I'll give it my best... tomorrow. It's now the start of the next rugby match between the Pretoria Bulls (playing in PINK uniforms in support of breast cancer!! You've never seen anything quite so strange as these macho men in hot pink attire!!) and the Cape Town Stormers.

Not sure what you mean by the extras you get but I know WA has a really good hosting setup. They're actually better than GoDaddy hosting since they create it on more up to date hosting. Kyle could probably fill you in but WA hosting is probably better. Make sure you back up your site though..... If you simply change your DNS settings before you back up your site, you'll lose all your content. You have to manually input each url on WA hosting so that's kinda why.
I'm actually doing the same thing as you here myself pretty soon. I've actually been using GoDaddy hosting for 8 bucks a month for a long while now.
