I went to a Bryan Adams concert last night and it was of course amazing. He is just on the beginning of his Canadian tour and stopped by Victoria as one of his first visits (being form Vancouver himself, a jump across the pond).Bryan Adams has a worldwide following. He is an icon in his own right and sells out stadiums all across the US. But why is he such a rockstar? Is it simply because he is a good singer? No. There are tons of great singers out there, some of whom never make it. Yes, I woul

It has come to my attention that there are several people considering the idea of curation as a sound business model. Again, some crafty marketing and another “bogus” Clickbank product is trying to push the idea of taking other people’s content, mashing it up, and then putting it up on your own page.It is just that easy to create content right? Well...NO. That is why I am writing this post, to help you understand what curation is, why it can kill your campaigns in their tracks,

Today I am going to give you some insight as to how I personally approach DATA...and how I think people overuse meaningless data to the point of paralysis. I am sure you have all heard the cliche, "paralysis by analysis". This means that overanalyzing something can lead to “inaction”...which can be detrimental to your success. Yes, looking at too much data too often can kill your success! I want to first explain what my personal take is on data then I am going to explain how

First off, I would like t congratulate Veronica (veronica.l) as I chose her website and niche to run this case study on. :)The chosen topic: “organic milk”For this case study, I have chosen a niche that I know nothing about but I find intriguing as I do try to eat health and health is an ongoing focus of mine. I am going to walk everyone through the process of getting content ranked in Google (albeit for someone else’s site). Keywords come first....The first thing I do when co

I know this question seems crazy when it is portrayed like this, but when people think of unemployment they think of it as something that may almost be inevitable based on the current company they are working on or the current state of the economy. What people don't consider is that when there is 8% unemployment, there is 92% employment. That is still pretty good odds in my book. If you told me I had a 92% chance of accomplishing something, regardless of what it was I would make you a p

A few days back I was on the Wealthy Affiliate Facebook fan page and I noticed one thing that was very apparent...Facebook has officially started to dig their own grave! They are now trying to charge businesses to SHOW their posts to people that have already liked them. I am not sure the logic behind this, but don't people like you for a reason....because they want to see the things you have to say and your activity. Welcome EDGERANK...Facebook has recently revealed the true reach metrics (

Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate, The Open Education Project! Before I get into anything, I want to give you two simple pieces of advice within the Wealthy Affiliate community.(1) Don’t be afraid to ask questions(2) Take action on what you learnRight now you should take a second and introduce yourself within the main chat....this alone is a big hurdle for many (and perhaps you) and this alone will set you off in the right direction.Post a little "hello" in WA Chat!If you can do this, you will

There have been some questions surrounding the "true" value of becoming an ambassador of Wealthy Affiliate outside the obvious incentive of coming to Las Vegas for our next annual conference which is likely to take place in late 2012.I thought that instead of trying to explain where we are headed, it would be easier to create an infographic to represent that "Ambassadorship Opportunity". Here is the link to the full-resolution infographic. If you want to create and contribute to The Open Educatio

We are approximately a week away from one of the most exciting evolutions of Wealthy Affiliate, The Open Education Project. As you know, we have evolved a great deal in the past couple of months and over the years our community has been about helping and about sharing.
