Hi everyone, my name is Natalie, I'm 22 and from the UK.

I have a degree in business management but due to the recession I've been unable to get a job where I actually need to use it!

I'm sick of working in a dead end boring job so decided to take matters into my own hands! Can't wait to get started and get earning!

Would love to hear from anyone and if you have any helpful tips or hints about getting started I would love to hear them; the amount of information here is a bit overwhelming!!

So how're you doing, Natalie?

I know what you mean about life. It tends to intrude at the most inopportune times, huh? lol

I'm good and the IM is going well. I made my first sale Sunday and it also gave me my first $50 day. That felt really good.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help, ok?

I got my first sale through forum marketing, Natalie. I found a starving crowd, figured out what they needed help with, wrote an article that used an in-context reference to the product I wanted to promote, linked to the article in my forum signature, and then just participated in the forum like I do here.

The great thing is I wrote the article once and it's still getting several clicks a day. And those are highly targeted clicks that will hopefully convert at a much higher rate.

> Does this mean I should pick a different niche?

There's no simple answer to this. Check out the "Keyword Dilemma" post in my "Discover Good Keywords" article on my blog.

G, an experienced internet marketer, gives me a big tip in that forum post on how to judge my competition for any given keyword.

Honestly, I'm not concerned about too much competition in a niche ... IF I can find a few good keywords I think I can rank in the top 5 in Google for.

I would rather try a niche I think could be profitable and not make any sales than let competition scare me off from a niche I might make a killing from.

Hi Roy,

I am good thanks, how are you? I've not had much time to work on here last week, life is getting in the way a bit! Hoping to really knuckle down this week and next though. How is your IM going?

wow that's great, congratulations.

I haven't even started a campaign yet, so far I've been doing 100% research 0% action lol, something I am hoping to rectify tonight.

How did you go about getting your first sale? Have you been doing article marketing? This is the way I am looking to go forward, but whenever I think I have a good product, I look for it in the places I would want to use i.e. ezine articles and there are already loads of articles. Does this mean I should pick a different niche? Or should I try and compete?

Just added you as a buddy.

Hey, Natalie ... I was a little concerned about writing articles too, so I decided to practice with my blog right here at WA. You know what? It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be.

That's awesome! Good luck with your niche. Just focus on learning the process. Dominating your niche will come later. :-)

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too. Even if I screw something up, I can go back later and fix it when I've learned more.

That is a good idea. I finally think I have come up with a niche I might want to try and I have taken advantage of NicheQ so I have a few ideas, I just need to get writing!
natalie462 Premium
Yeah that's what I thought, just get a few done and then I'll be able to learn from them and create better campaigns and focus more on niches afterwards

Hi Marcus,

Thank you, I am looking forward to getting started. I am interested in the WA affiliate program but I want to familiarise myself with Internet Marketing and get a few campaigns under my belf first so when I do start promoting WA I can do it to my full potential!

No doubt I will be in touch once I get started on it thoughtso thanks again :)
