Let me introduce myself to all of you. I am a 62 year old widower with 5 children, 9 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. The image I chose to use is that of my youngest grandson, Jovian. He is much cuter than I am. My photo would scare the #### out of you, LOL.
My wife and I adopted 5 special needs children back in the early 80's. These kids had been physically, emotionally, and/or sexually abused by their birth parents. They varied from 6 to 12 years of age at the time of adoption.
Unfortunately, my wife died in '86 at the age of 32 do to a heart attack. Being we thought she was in excellent health at the time it was needless to say hard for our family to deal with her passing. I still find it difficult, God do I miss her. I never remarried. I have remained faithful to her & will to the day I die.
I immediately quit my job and started up a service oriented business out of my garage (to allow me to take care of the kids as a single parent) and ran it successfully for 6 years before my health (artificial hip and severe arthritis) made it necessary for me to change course.
I then opened a retail store in '92 (comics, gaming, & sports collectibles) and ran it successfully for 10 years. In 2002 I decided to sell the store to one of employees on a contract. I thought this would carry me over until retirement age but unfortunately the new owner chose not to take advice I gave him as time went on and he went bankrupt, leaving me broke.
I obtained a medial job in customer service and it sufficed for 5 years but as luck would have it do to economy the company I was working for shut down the facility I was working at on December 18th, 2009.
I am having difficulty in finding another job and as a result have joined your group here at Wealthy Affiliate University.
I have built and maintained web sites in the past related to the store I owned. I have also made over 2000 sales on eBay in the past with a 100% positive rating to my credit. I have been instrumental in several sports related forums as a webmaster and designer. I have done a lot of graphic design and have provided banners, avatars, and signature graphics for many individuals. I am hoping some of these skills and experiences will help me in this endeavor.
I have no way in knowing if I will be successful in this new venture or not. I am not looking to make a fortune (although I would not object) but am hoping to be able to at least make enough to supplement my unemployment checks for now and my Social Security checks in the future so that I can at least live in honor without losing my home and having to be a burden on my kids or society.
I have no doubt that I will be waving my hand in the air (or posting on the forum, LOL) asking for assistance as I find myself, as I have read many new to the site state, a bit overwhelmed with the amount of material present which, at first glance, seems to be a bit disorganized.
I look forward to working with all of you.

WA should have provided you with an affiliate link (a URL link with your ID# within the URL) set up specifically for you so you would get credit for any sign-ups obtained through clicking that specific link. Now you may want to cloak it using my-linker tool offered here at WA and there are tutorials to show you how to use it. So yes, use the entire link given you that includes your affiliate ID NO but cloak it!
