Commute Time = Boot Time

That's my goal. To be able to work from the comfort of my home. This is what I need and it definitely is what I want. I'm tired of the "Nine to Five" scene, the aggravation of the twice-daily commute ritual, gas used, wear and tear on my car, accidents and near-misses during the "rush" hour.

I'm currently employed as a customer service representative. Under the "right" circumstances, this kind of job can be very hard on the spiritual and mental well-being of the representative as it simply DRAINS.

I've spent many years and thousands of dollars trying to find a legitimate opportunity that would allow me to work from my home. Not one of them has worked, so I'm hoping that this will be my last search and will be my springboard to freedom.

Hi Sojourner - How is your progress coming along? How did you originally hear about WA?

That's quite an interesting pic of the fork you have there! :o) Thank you for the kind words and if I can help you (email mktg is my strength) then please let me know!

Well the fork in the road certainly makes sense now - I should have figured that one out! I think you're smart to hold questions till you're further into the 8 weeks. I recommend reading as much as you can of the forums, there is a TON of good info in there. Since there's so much, what I started doing is --- when I find something really good I copy and paste into a word document with the date I did it and the person who posted it. This gives me my own forum cheat sheet to go back to. Have fun!

Hi there, yhoung man! Thanks for stopping by. Believe it or not, when I paid for my membership, I had very, VERY little knowledge of what affiliate or internet marketing businesses were. I was under the impression for YEARS that marketing and affiliate programs were all about MLM and closely modeled after something like AmWay/Vixter or some other kind of MLM. I've been trying for years to find my at-home niche, and in my searches, I came upon a site that reported scams and advised of legitimate businesses and the Wealthy Affiliate program was spoken so highly of by the webmaster there, until I decided to give it a try. I'm very pleased with this site and all that if offers. I feel if I can do anything at all, it will be with Wealthy Affiliates. Welcome to WA! I wish you the VERY best in your business. To your success!

You're all right! Thanks for the offer of being of assistance to me and allowing me to ask marketing questions. I'm sure I'll have many in the near futrue. right now I'm trying to work my way through the 8 weeks section. My biggest curiosity right now is how articles writing is done, but I'm holding all questions until I have better understanding of the fist basics. PLUS, some of the questions I now have are sure to be answered from the 8 weeks action plan. I've been given weeks 1 through 3 and they are progressively unfolding information as I go along. I'm going to add you to my Buddy list and I will remember your kind offer.

The Fork in The Road depicts my life. I've been there so many times, at crossroads and forks, but each time I've made the wrong decisions. When I was first told about Wealthy Affiliates, I was standing again at a cross road, almost made the wrong turn again, because I just didn't trust the concept, because I had the wrong understanding of Internet Marketing after researching similar kinds of so-called opportunities and found them implausible, and untrustworthy, some plain and downright SCAMS! I'm so glad I finally was able to understand from the person who referred me, that this is a legitimate business which is do-able with diligence and hard work. I'm taking my time and not going to rush and allow over-expectations to cause me to quit. I'm planning to purchase the one-year membership in a month or so. That's how much confidence I have that this is what I need to be concentrate on for now and until I gain the knowledge to begin making money. I'm calling this my Last Chance.

Yes, like Ramses, I also see those ridiculous Jeff Paul infomercials on TV every week-end. You'd think those two models they've hired would stop carrying around microphones interviewing people who're making so much money, and buy into the program themselves. Some of the people they interview are CLAIMING to be making a MILLION DOLLARS A WEEK with the "business." I don't know how they keep a straight face.

That's why I added that picture of the fork in the road, as a reminder that I finally made the right turn this time when I made the decision to "make that turn" into Wealthy Affiliates.

Yes, I am as green as an asparagus so I know I need to do a lot of reading before I step out in any direction. I have hard copies of information that I find here, started a folder and have a binder as well, PLUS I downloaded a notes program where I have folders and sub-folders for information from the WA Forum, the 8 weeks action plan, the Share Zone, and any where else I find good, useful, information.

Thanks for your support and your encouragement. Take care, and thanks for stopping by.

Welcome Sojourner. I signed on a week ago and this is a GREAT place to build your internet marketing skills. I just received by second week action plan. The first one helped me soooo much. I would recommend you start there.

Good morning to you. Thank you for you warm welcome. I'm working on my first week, trying to work the plan just as instructed. I'm totally GREEN so it's a true blessing that there are guidelines set up to help people like me. I noted the time your message was posted. It shows you are something of a night owl, too. I've been falling asleep every night while trying to get things done here, probably dozing off about the same time you were posting. Bless your heart, I wish you the very best and much, much success in your new business

Hi & Welcome to WA. How could I not say hello to a newbie name Sojourner! Best wishes for your success!

Work the 8 week plan! And don't give up.

I also I have found keeping a note book (by that I mean pen & paper), open and available to write things down in the real world. Maybe it is because I'm from the old school, sometimes new information doesn't really work in my brain unless I have written it down. Also I like reading in the "general success" forum for inspiration.

Seems as though it worked. I was laughing about how you outlined your plan. Seem like a good plan to me. I may not have decided to plan my campaign that way, but I'm thinking that it will turn out to be done that way anyway. I am overwhelmed with all the information here. I feel like crying NOW!

Howdy! Have a blessed day and continued success

Hi Sojourner,
I'm glad you found a way out of the W-2 world. I got downsized last August and as you know the job market is ugly. I'm working on multiple streams of income: this and prepaid legal. Both are great . I wish you great success in your pursiut of your dreams. :) Karen

Hi Sojourner,
I really like your picture of the fork. Where did you find that? Very cool. Karen

Hi Karen! Congratulations on finding a way to keep on keeping on after you were downsized. I'm still in the 9-5 and just getting my feet wet with WA. I did try the pre-paid legal at one time, but people would get in, chose a lawyer, get a few letters mailed out by the attorney and a few other legal issues cleared up and two months or so later, would dis-enroll from the program. I wasn't successful at all with pre paid, unfortunately. I sure do wish you much success here as well as in your prepaid and other ventures. Take care, and thanks so much for stopping by "my place."

Bless your heart! Thanks for your encouragement. I will definitely stay in touch and today I'm adding you to my Buddy list. I wish the best to you and much added success in your quest for W-2 freedom and additional passive income opportunities.

Hi, again, Karen. I've had that picture of the fork in the road so long until I can't even remember how I acquired it. Most of my adult life has consisted of fork in the road experiences, some of them costly, so when I found this picture, I kept it as a sort of "badge" --sort of like having a theme song or a personal anthem, to remind me to proceed with caution and to, in essence, "look both ways" before "crossing the street," but not to look at every opportunity as "it must be a scam" because of the many times I've been burned.

So I'm here, will do what I can to make the best of this wonderful opportunity. I sure wish the best for you and everyone who has turned to WA to make their lives and finances better. Thanks for checking on me, and the best to you always.
