About Colin Klinkert's Latest Offer (For Everyone Who Signed Up For Social Monkee Yesterday)
It's so ironic that on the day I go on a rant about Autoblogs, the marketer behind Social Monkee (Colin Klinkert) decides to promote what is essentially a "Smart Autoblog Software". Guess what? It's going to fail eventually, even if you can "fool" Google for a while you're wasting your time. One day you might just wake up and find your business has been swallowed up by some ridiculously named Google update - "Chihuahua" or "Pikachu".
From what I can see, Klinkert is part of the "old school" of online marketers: he tells a compelling story, he knows your pain very well and he knows how to present a product to alleviate that pain. Good for him, but online marketing is shifting towards personal relationships and trust built up over time more and more as people tire of the endless sales pitches. In a nutshell, people want to know WHO YOU ARE before they buy into WHAT YOU SAY.
So, Klinkert marketing whatever he wants to market is fine, but I just find it in poor form that he decides to sell to me even before he introduces himself properly.
That said, I'll still use Social Monkee to backlink all my articles simply because he's got a winning idea here behind this great tool, and I shall use Social Monkee to further my own philosophy regardless of what his is.
