March Report & Lessons Learned
Hi Wealthy Affiliates!

<meta charset="utf-8" /><span style="font-family: 'Lucida Grande', 'Trebuchet MS', Verdana, Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px">It's time for a quick update for March: the successes I experienced and the lessons I've learned.
First of all, I don't know if it's just me, but the number one struggle that I have is that I tend to measure my success in terms of results. How much money I'm making, how many opt-ins I have, how many hits I'm getting on my website. And I've come to realise that it's a major limiting belief. That's one of the big things that I took out of the Success in 30 Days club, which I think is phenomenal: Success is achieving something that I set out to do and completing it well. Previously, every time I opened up my Clickbank home page and saw 0 new sales I'd beat myself up over it. It really got me down, and I have a feeling that a lot of you who are new like me go through the exact same thing.
I used to lie awake at night and worry about having no sales. Common thoughts would be "What am I doing wrong?" and "Is this actually going anywhere? Am I wasting my time?" One night as I was praying and trying to make sense of it all, I had a big epiphany: every single day, I'm closer to my dream of making a full time income from online marketing. I'm 80 articles further along than I was a month ago. I have 60 subscribers more than I had a month ago. I've got a much better looking site, and it's getting far fewer bounces and a lot more click throughs. And every new day that comes is a new opportunity to move myself along even more! It doesn't matter if i messed up today, because it's a lesson that I carry forward to tomorrow. It doesn't matter if I didn't make any money today, because I spent it building my business so I can have money tomorrow, or the day after, or the day after that, all based on the work that I did once, but is now connecting with people over and over again.
With this new outlook on success, I want to humbly say that I didn't make my 5 sales last month. In fact, I only made the one. Along the way though, my 5 sales goal pushed me to refine my process and do more of what works. And I'm happy to say that it was not a secret at all. I don't have some secret knowledge that everyone on this site doesn't. Everything I did was according to the resources available on this site. My specialisation is article marketing, and so I bought the article marketing course, and I went through it step by step, putting all the tasks into action and going through it over and over again.
My simple marketing system is this: I write 4 articles a day, 5 times a week. I submit them uniquely to article sites (mainly Street Articles and EzineArticles), and I use my 2 links to lead people back to my landing page which is either a comparison style page, a testimonial style page or an opt-in page. I got my opt-in bribe graphic professionally designed, which has doubled my opt-in rate. I also invested in a premium wordpress theme, which has vastly improved my optins and clickthroughs as well. To me, the biggest assets I have on my site are 1. Optin page and 2. About me page. Why? Because I realized from analysing February's results that my first sale came from someone opting in to my follow ups, establishing a trust based relationship with me, and going on to buy the system that I recommended. It was that simple!
I'm going to carry my 5 sale a month goal into April, and I'm glad to report that I've already achieved 20% of that goal! I believe that the second sale is equally important, because for me it proved that my first sale wasn't just a flash in the pan, and that I have a system in place to consistently lead people from stranger to acquaintance to trusting my recommendations. I hope that what I've shared will encourage you to keep doing what you're doing, to recognize that you ARE a success every single day.
