Following Pot Pie Girls Advice

Last Update: June 03, 2010

Hi

Just read through a post Pot Pie wrote which I think is a must read and can be found here https://my.wealthyaffiliate. com/wa_forum/viewtopic.php?f= 6&t=50510

If anyone knows that parts of this will no longer work or need tweaking, I would be grateful if you could let me know.

Based on the info that I found reading it, and obviously with the success Pot Pie Girl is now enjoying, I am going to try and follow these steps myself and see if I can replicate, initially on a smaller scale, some of that same success.

Anyway, my first step was to find two 'Evergreen' products using CB-Analytics.  Now, I had a quick look at CB-Analytics and I get the feeling that I can use www.cbengine.com to find this same information.  As I am already a member of cbengine, I will use that.

Please, if anybody knows of a reason to choose CB-Analytics over CBengine, let me know.

I have found some products that I am going to write articles about, one of which is a complete surprise to me.  Quite excited about about that one, not because I think it's going to be a run away success, but because I would never have thought of it and it will be fun.

I've plugged the web addresses of the two product sales pages into the Google Keyword tool and downloaded the keywords to CSV file.  Now, when Pot Pie Girl originally wrote her post, the Google Keyword tool was vastly different from what is available now and it appears to only allow 100 keywords to be found.  I may be wrong and I may have to play around with it a bit more but that's how it appears.

This is as far as I have got at the moment but it's a start and I am now off to set up a couple of Squidoo pages to send my article links to.

I'll write an update once I have done a bit more.

LOL - No I didn't realise the link bought you back here. That's a good start isn't it.

I use Market Samurai as well as it is a fantastic tool. I paid for min a while back but have only recently started using it properly. Amazing. CB Engine is a paid for service but I also find it excellent. I think it's $29 per year or something like that and there is so much info there and the sort function works well.
Cheers ladies for the feedback

I'm starting to work with market samurai for keyword research. Like it a whole lot and it's free, free trial.

Mal, Don't know if you realize it, but the link to PotPieGirl is bring you back here. I use Google Google Adwords keyword tool and WA tool. Have heard great things about Micro Niche Finder. Some people say they can't function without it. A little investment: $97 one time fee. Sounds excellent. I use WA tool for the article power and adwords power. Need it if you're going to write articles. I have used CBAnalytics. Have had no experience with CBengine. Do they charge for it? If not, may as well use both.

Way to go! I like PotPieGirl's advice too. I don't have answers to any of your questions, but I think it sounds like you're off and running. Good luck!
