Micro Job Sites

Some people claim to make a lot of money selling project/services/and/or goods on micro job sites. Without spending too much time, I’ve made a respectable spending stash on Fiverr.com. I write about it frequently, because it’s the main micro job site I use. I’ve It’s the most well known, and arguably, a pioneer in its own right.

Fiverr allows you to post a “gig” that you will complete for $5. After Fiverr and paypal take their cuts, you’re left with $3.92. That is its drawback. I strongly recommend selling digital products or simple services that you’re good at, otherwise, you could spend hours for a little profit.

Some other micro job sites, like Zeerk let you post projects up to $100. But, be careful of people trying to sell the same service at different prices on fittytown.com, twentyville.com and hundoville.com. Some sites, like Gigswood.com don’t take commissions, so you can in theory make more. However, if no one is seeing your gig, it obviously won’t sell. I prefer Fiverr.com for familiarity reasons but JustaFive.com is good because you can sell from $5-$20 gigs.

As a buyer, I’m not afraid to spend $5, and my ‘get what I pay for mentality’ saves me grief if something doesn’t turn out exactly as I’d hoped. That said, I’m usually pleasantly surprised. I plan to review each of these sites over the next month.
