Google Panda and Penguin have both been interesting for me as a blogger and webmaster, but I refuse to give up in the face of change. After a hiatus for family reasons (new baby!) I am back to work on my websites, primarily a pets-themed site and a home & family site.My earnings are currently n the $1,000/ month range and my goal is to increase that to $5,000 a month -- which is what I was earning on a monthly basis a little over a year ago during the heyday of eHow.com.The key throughout this ch

After seeing Kyle's recent announcement about changes for the WA Vegas incentive program as well as overall changes within the community and training programs, I am really excited for 2012 in the online writing and marketing realm!  My basic plan is to leverage the websites and domains I already have to increase my online presence in several great niches, write, blog, interact with my readers, recommend affiliate products, and to maintain a high standard when it comes to the quality of info
I just had to share, while I was writing in my last blog post about my home/ family niche site (started after joining Wealthy Affiliate), someone visiting the site purchased the products I recommend there and I earned a $63+ commission. This niche has so much potential. I am working to increase my content, improve my inbound links and draw more traffic to increase income from it. What are you doing for your sites today?
My most recent blog post here on WA talks about making $5,000 in one month through online writing and affiliate marketing. Well, I sold the eHow articles that were bringing in the bulk of that through ad revenue shares and affiliate links, and have turned my focus to two websites. I'm now generating just under $1,500 a month in residual income.  One website, which I began in December 2008, is on a pets-related topic. It earns $500- $1,000 a month from ads and affiliate commissions. I'm cu

Last month, March 2011, was a wonderful one for residual income through my online writing and affiliate marketing. My eHow.com articles, written in 2007-2009 for the eHow Writers Compensation Program (WCP), did exceptionally well, and counted for my best month there to date. Unfortunately, the WCP program is no longer open to new articles, so it's not a viable option for increasing my online income or for those new to online writing who would otherwise enjoy writing there.  Affiliate mar

What a surprise to see my previous blog post featured as the Blog of the Day on Wealthy Affiliate! After a ton of comments and questions on my post about earning over $4k/month for three months straight, I thought I'd post again to explain further and to answer some of those queries. Several people asked via comment or PM how many sites I have, or where my income comes from. Here are my top sources of residual income: eHow articles (revenue share from the site; articles are1-3 years old) Aff

For three months straight, I have earned more than $4,000 per month through my online writing, websites, and affiliate marketing. My 400 articles on eHow.com provide a large portion of each month's earnings, affiliate sales via Commission Junction, Amazon and Clickbank add add a good chunk, and Google Adsense as well as several smaller affiliate programs (including WealthyAffiliate) round out my sources of online income. My totals are as follows: November 2010:

I joined the inaugural Wealthy Affiliate Article Club two weeks ago and it's been a great experience thus far. In some ways, it's the best in-depth, step-by-step training I've found on WA. It's very clear and concise -- if you have the opportunity to join the next WA article club, definitely do it! So far, I've created a niche blog dedicated to marketing Wealthy Affiliate, and have about 10 pages and three blog posts online. I've submitted about a half-dozen articles linking to this new site, t

In an effort to reach $1,000/month ($30+ a day) from my pets niche site by the end of August 2010, I have been adding content pages to the site, creating a few new backlinks, and improving the keyword density on the pages I've already built.  I wrote two new pages on a specific topic that has a great related clickbank product and have linked to the ebook from those two pages. They aren't indexed yet but should be within the week.   In addition to writing more pages, I've gone ov
