Marketing Mindset

Last Update: May 06, 2010

In my experience with IM, I have realized that successful marketing seems to come down to INTENTION. Do you intend to merely drive people to a sales-page and achieve a conversion, or is your intention to actually provide solutions and value in order to increase the quality of life for your lead? There is a big difference and this intention is transparent in marketing campaigns.

Marketing is a MINDSET - Your ad copy is a direct reflection of your mindset. After hours and hours of surfing the web looking to see how other people have used the online platform for making money by creating reviews, posting blogs, hard-selling, email marketing, lead-capture pages, etc etc, I have noticed that the best and most likely highest converting marketers express themselves from a mindset of BEING OF SERVICE.

As affiliate marketers, we are in essence "middle - men." We direct people to other people, services, & products and if a sale is made, we earn a commission. But it is important to recognize HOW to go about this from a mindset of improving peoples' lives. That is what I am striving to cultivate and that is what stands out as CLASSY vs cheesy.

Cheers for sharing this marketing blog! I agree, value for your guest is very important. Our BassDrive station streams from around the world 24/7 for FREE, all the archived shows are available for FREE download, and we do atleast one free event each year @ Winter Music Conference in Miami for our listeners to celebrate with our BassDrive family in person. This naturally has built our brand as the #1 source for Drum&Bass music in the world, sells lots of merchandise, and sells lots of downloads on our label.

Yup, I agree. Establish yourself as the authority, and don't be afraid to give. As an affiliate, you must distinguish yourself.
