Hype and Fluff.
Last Update: August 18, 2010
I've been at this now for two and a half weeks. I've cleared a few hurdles and am working on the clickbank stuff. I am distressed at the stuff I'm seeing out there that appear to be the top sellers. Now, I have a background in dog training so I have been perusing these affiliates and what I'm finding disgusts me. I scan down through 5 pages of fluff, hype and testimonials only to find a 39.95 pricetag. I have read all the hype and still have no idea what they are selling. Guess what. NO SALE. And, I don't want to recommend them as an affiliate either. So, I guess I'll keep looking until I find someone that provides some substance and looks like the service or book is worth the time of day.
Anyone else finding this to be the case?

Totally agree about the clickbank stuff. I don't really like the idea of promoting things I haven't seen myself and I am not prepared to pay to see it. Most of it looks like rubbish. I did buy one ebook once and although it sounded good the info was certainly not accurate.
The articles you have written are fantastic. I wish you all the best, you have interesting hobies so are bound to attract many readers.

Yup ! I agree on creating your own product! Your potential affiliates are right here in WA. And, btw, I think you have a nice twist on it, because you and your dog are training together for Search and Rescue. Even if people are not doing that themselves, Search and Rescue has a high perceived value (as well, I think, as a high real value )in the dog world. Cesar Millan rightly holds spot number one in the overall dog training niche, and that leaves a lovely niche open for you in Search and Rescue. In the niches are the riches.(oooh, I like that phrase. sounds like a tutorial...)

And how. I think you should write the quintessential dog training book. Make it so good that people will consider it a bible of dog training. Sell it yourself and get affiliates.
