Funny story, I bought a couple of domains back in August. There was one that I just didn't have time for, so after setting up wordpress, I just left it. No content, no backlinks. Just a blank home page and blank blog post. Fast forward to last week, it was ranked #7 page 1 in Google for its keyword. Low competition, but still. Time and domain name count for a lot I guess.
This is old, but I found this video of statistics about the internet. It's from 2009 - and two "internet years" is a long time, but it's still pretty interesting.
20 Impressive Internet Statistics
A while back when I started getting more sites up, and found some problems with WA hosting, including the limit on wordpress sites you can create I decided to switch hosting. EVERYONE told me to go with Hostgator, and for some reason, I thought it would be more interesting to go with Fatcow. I think they had some deal at the time for 1 year of hosting for super cheap. Anyway, it wasn't a good idea. Servers go down about once a month, and from various people who've worked on my
I've been outsourcing a lot of articles and blog posts lately, and it's become very obvious to me that the women I've hired to write articles do a MUCH BETTER job than the men. It may just have been the luck of the draw, who knows. But the women writers I've hired actually have personalities in their articles. The have fewer grammar mistakes, and I feel like I get more than what I paid for.
It seems as though the men are very mechanical about what they write. The just shovel some cr
I was all about writerswanted for a while, but they have been SUPER SLOW on my last couple orders. I've been using Freelancer a lot lately, and I now think they're pretty cool.
It's kind of scary at first, they're system is a bit complicated, but you can get some really good articles done for 3 bucks/400-500 words. Really. Not SEO crap either.
Of course there's a lot of people on there who are pushing BS writing, but if you're looking for that, you can get 500 word articles that are kind o
Yes, I've been in WA for one year now. i want to make a big inspiring post, but you know, things come up, and now I'm sick. I remember when I first got to WA I though the worst that could happen would be that I would just learn something and count the losses as class fees. Ha.
I don't know if it's weird to post exact numbers, but I remember being curious about it back in the day. I know marketers tend to guard things like niches and profits, but I think for newbies who come across this blo
Article directories can be frustrating sometimes. Just when I think I've found a good one, they disappoint me. I was psyched about finding Article Click after they approved some articles in just two days and I got decent rankings for them. Then I submitted a bunch more. They told me I had to way 30 days. Bummer. Ok, I can handle it. Then two weeks later they just deleted the article. Lame.
I used to use Article Pool and Article Snatch quite a bit. Decent approval times and views. Then Arti
Damn, banged by shin on a bench today. Good thing I had a place to sit down afterwards. Stupid bench. Make up your mind. Are you on my side or not.
I've been using Social Monkee and putting my RSS into pinging/RssFeed sites. Anyone done this and get results?
Seems like the more I do, the more I find out I could be doing. Back in the day I got a site to spot one with ONLY article backlinks. How did I do that?
fiverr is a pretty cool site. I just had some videos done. I don't know how to make Youtube video so I just had someone do a couple. For five bucks, it was totally worth it. Anyone struggling with video should check out fiverr.
Been working hard. Spending some real hours doing to whole SEO deal.
And getting rankings. And doing well.
Only to wake up this morning and EVERYTHING is off of Google. I mean, It's still indexed, but my rankings are gone.
I don't know what's happened. MIght be temporary.
Woe is me.
