Just wrote an article for my Web site about a new product I'm working with. I must confess to breaking just about every commandment of the article directory gods--and ENJOYING it! Get your children out of the room: Seven--count 'em--SEVEN words in an URL link! MORE THAN THREE links overall! A link in the FIRST PARAGRAPH! Used the keyword FIFTEEN PER CENT of the time! I DIDN'T BOTHER TO COUNT the number of words! There's a COLON instead of a DASH in the title! and the biggest perversion of a

I think I've come across the worst landing page in the universe! It's for a perfectly good product in an "evergreen" niche with lots of secondary audience potential. But I'll willing to bet that the vendor is somewhere crying in his beer about not making enough sales and accusing Clickbank of scamming him out of the setup fee! I'm willing to overlook the fact that page's layout is haphazard. I'm willing to overlook all the punctuation errors even though the vendor identifies himself as
Today ends my first semester at WAU--and you're getting the graduation present! I joined in November, but have been online marketing for four months--an average college semester. I came here via the Travis Sago Bum Marketing method, but I was such a bum I couldn't afford to join WAU right away. In retrospect, that was blessing and a curse: I learned how to write ads and use the article directories, but not really understanding niches, I wrote about products I "liked" as opposed to the
Skiing was something I'd always wanted to try -- I've always enjoyed watching it on TV and it just looked like so much fun. I resolved to take a ski lesson as soon as I could afford it and find a way to get to a mountain. If I enjoyed it, I'd take another lesson; if not, I wouldn't. The opportunity finally came when I could afford a one-day bus trip sponsored by a local sporting goods store. In my dutifully purchased long johns, down jacket, and boxing glove-sized mittens, I showed up for depar
Decided to try my hand at Squidoo. Word is that it indexes as least as well as Ezine Articles, approves instantly and doesn't give you grief about affiliate links. That means they can be used as both landing pages (what US Free Ads charges $9 a month for) and articles linking to pages with affiliate links. I had an article ready to go, so I followed Squidoo's instructions and pasted in all the type. It looked awful, with gigantic gaps between each module. Maybe this wasn't going to be such a go
It took Ezine Articles a week to approve my first submission, one day to approve my second. Imagine my surprise when the approval e-mail informed me that I had been elevated to the status of expert author. After two articles? I thought it was supposed to take at least ten! OMG, they like me, they like me! (Sob, sob) I am so honored to receive such an honorably honorable honor. I'd like to thank Ezines, the academy, Kyle, Carson, Travis, the three dozen people who've viewed my articles--oh, and g
