Fresh Start - Diving in Head First
Last Update: May 22, 2012
Good afternoon fellow members!
This is my first post of many to come. For the first time, I am diving head first in the Internet Marketing world. For the first time, I will actually take action instead of eyeing from afar. Let me explain. Please bear with me as this could be a long one.
In 2008, I joined WA with the intention of creating extra revenues for myself. I was on my way to graduate from university and I thought this would be my way out! Fast forward a year, I was still paying WA, having even bought the training courses for Article Marketing and Pay-Per-Click.
The problem was not paying the monthly fees, the problem was that I actually had not visited the site in more than 10 months. I was wasting my money as well as the opportunity to make more! I unsubscribed from WA and abandoned the dream of being my own boss. How can I say "abandoned" if I had never really started? I didn't have the drive or to will to commit myself 100%.
Fast-forward to about a month ago when I decided that I would do it this time around and that I was ready to dive in. Once again, I signed up, looked at the 30-day plan, listened to a whole bunch of WAbinars and read a bunch of training material. I even went as far as purchasing a domain name. Why did I stop then? No idea really. I think it was because I had chosen a domain name that at first made sense to me but then proved to be much more difficult to develop than I had expected.
Fast forward to today. After reading IveTriedThat's motivation post as well as Ammono's S.M.A.R.T. goals post. I toyed with the idea and finally acted on it! I printed and posted around my office a list of goals that I wish to accomplish. Now that my long-term goals and objectives are set, everything is more clear to me, everything is put into perspective and it is much less scary to approach.
First Step: the 30-day plan and the daily routine of posting this blog!
I hope to interact with you all as I move along this journey. I am diving into the unknown determined to improve and succeed!
