Felling like pulling my hair out!

Well I am learning a lot here at Wealthy Affiliates but right now I am ready to pull my hair out. I started my first post on my new website and I can't seem to get my amazon links to work. I have tired about a dozen ways and sometimes they will work as text links or picture links sometimes they won't.
I have been working since about 10 am (it is now 4pm) an article for Street articles and my first blog post. I still don't like my home page content that I spent hours trying to get right and I feel like my banging my head against to wall. It took me a good 10 hours to get my web page the way I wanted it and now it is taking way to long to get these links in.
After yelling at my husband and my dog a few times out of frustration and neglecting all the things I wanted to get done at home I decided I should come to this wonderful community and ask two questions.
PLEASE help me with my links! How do you get Amazon links to work or is there a better way to go about this?
I would also like to know how to improve my website Pole Dance Fitness please be honest but don't make me cry. I will only cry if you attack me a well rounded critique will only help me. Thanks!

No I don't have any ideas on how you can come up with that money in six days. I do a lot of side jobs. I enjoy a day of yard work and most people don't so I get paid to do it for them. Sometimes I clean or do office work but I don't like doing that as much.

First off...Take a deep breath. Ok, exhale. It's all going to work out. :)
I've never used Amazon, but a couple ideas I had about your problem.
Does the link you copy from Amazon have HTML tags or is it simply a URL? If it has HTML tags, you will need to paste it into your post/page in the HTML view. Otherwise WP will think it's just a really weird sentence and treat it like text.
If it is a URL, in the 'Visual' view, highlight the text you want to use as anchor text and click the link button. It is right above the editor window and looks like a chain link. Paste the URL in there and you should be good to go.
I haven't linked using pictures as the anchor much so someone else will help you with that.
I also took a very quick look at your site and the first thing that I saw was that you probably want to take the 'Site Admin' section off the page. I think it's the 'Meta' widget? If you need to login as admin to edit something, just navigate to wp-admin yourself, no need to keep a link there for everyone to try and guess your password. ;)
Great job so far though! When you feel like banging your head, sometimes it helps to just take a break and walk away for a little bit. Let your head clear and an 'ah ha' moment can happen.

I was entering it into the HTML tab. I have done this before with books on my book review blog but it was on a blogger blog and all I had to do was copy my affiliate link and past it in the HTML tab and I never had this problem. Most of the links I tried I could past in as a text link but I wanted pictures of the products so people could see what they looked like. I suppose I could just get a picture somewhere else but I wanted it to link to the product.
I am only using Amazon right now because I have had an account there for years. As I move along in the 30 day training I am hoping to find other possibilities but for now I though I would put my existing account to use.
Well I am off to pole dance class to blow off some steam and hopefully come back with a fresh head because I have to work a lot of hours tomorrow. Thanks
