About Candee71
Joined June 2008
Starting Over... I joined WA June 1, 2008. I was learning a lot...working hard, then in October of 2008 my husband passed away suddenly while he was at work. I quit doing everything for a time after that, it was hard and so sad, and I will always miss him... won't bother anyone with that process...

Fast forward to now. I got re-acquainted with a 'boy' I'd known since early childhood. (His mom and my mom taught school together and then were in the same group of 'friends' all my life). Long story short, we got together and were married in April 2010. Life is Good!

I moved 'home' again and we live in the 'family' home in small town USA. We have two dogs (Ralph & Jake), two cats (Kermit & Gizzmo), 2 cocketiels (Xena & Paco) and 2 sun conures (Cisco & Weezy). They are all spoiled rotten and more demanding than a two year old!

I am blessed with 3 wonderful children and 5 perfect grandchildren!!! and I love spending time with them, although everyone is so busy it's hard to find enough time.

I hope to restart my journey here and learn what it takes to make it work!

Both of us are tired of our 'jobs'. Since getting married and moving 'home', I now drive 75 miles to work and 75 miles home because I stayed working at the place I was before. It is exhausting and I don't have any time - I'm on the road 4/5 hours a day. We both want to quit our day jobs and become wealthy ;) ! ! Seriously!!

Hi Candee!
I joined the same day and think this is great so far. Today I think I hit "overwhelm" and decided to take it easy and just make some progress each day! Good luck to you!

Hi Candee,
Wow! I'm impressed, You're out there already, Great job! I'm trying to get back on track after the 4th, parade (in the rain, but fun) fireworks and up way too late than I'm used to. I'm focusing on article writing and how to get noticed at Ezine with eventual links to Squidoo lens. Keywords give me a time, finding the right ones, the right niche. My interest can have tons of competition or too little. It's there somewhere. Yes, definitely, keep in touch and being buddies!

Hi Candee,
Well, you inspired me to build my first Squidoo lens today! However, DARN, their site is down! So I'm educating myself in the time being and while looking through the forum I saw your post on how to get $1, 000 in one week. Did you find out? If so I'd LOVE to know!!!!!!

It's me again, I'll make a few comments then I'm off to work (damn having a week off was nice!), I think you're blog lokked very good to me and I only had time to read your home theater lens ,but I was impressed! Looked very good to me. Of course I'm a newbie too, but if I was interested in building one I would find it very helpful. One thing that I read somewhere is not to have links to other sites, and don't check Max why?. You don't want people getting distracted to other sites and lose a sale. You want them to buy from you. You can have links to your articles if they are relevant (links) but not links from articles to the lens which I believe it is once again to not distract them into landing somewhere else. I haven't submitted to ezine yet, but wasn't aware of the problem like you had. I am taking a free ecourse they offer to help you know what they look for in their reviews, that may help. I would look for an older member for their reviews as once again, I'm new like you. Keep at it and mistakes are learning tools as you know. I hope this helped from my limited perspective.

Yes, the Plan, we do need to focus and I know what you mean, I just had a week off and didn't near get all the work done I wanted to on this, and now I have lesson 2 available! Yikes! Hopeful to get lens done this week, and I had an idea to use some index cards and every day put 2 things I absolutely have to do on this program-HAVE TO'S. But to be reasonable with the 2 things and after awhile so see some kind of progress. Small steps.

Good to meet you Hursty. We'll have to keep in touch and see how we're getting along since we joined at about the same time. I've been working really hard this weekend and have 4 lenses on Squid! Don't know if they're any good, but at least I can say I've started. Right now it all seems to take so much time, but I'm confident that it will become easier as time goes on.

Hi! No didn't find anything out about making $1,000, but got a few responses that basically told me my question was too broad, which they're right. I'm really wanting some critique on the 4 lenses I published in Squidoo. I have them listed in my profile. I want to find out if I'm on the right track and what I can do more. Let me know when you get your lens written. You said you wanted to publish on Ezine Articles. Well I tried that three times and all three times I was rejected because of the link I put in my bio. Do you have to have a web site to publish on Ezine? I need to read and study more! I just felt I needed to put something out there and see what it looked like, know what I mean. Good Luck.

Thanks for your feedback! I REALLY appreciate any comments that come my way. What I need to do is catch up on my 8 week training! I've got a wee bit behind. It just seems that I run out of time! Know what I mean? When the kids were young and we were running around here and there to their events, I thought, "Someday, when they grow up, I'll have lots of time....(or something like that, actually, I loved going to all the things they had, I miss it somtimes)..." Well, its just seems I have less time now than I did then. LOL Well, I just need to focus and get some learning done. Keep in touch. I want to read your first lens!

Hi Candee,

Hi Candee...yes I know about being overwhelmed but it so exciting and so new.
I am a diabetic too and know how hard it is to 'follow instructions' with this disease.
I hope your husband will be feeling better I will keep him in my prayers.
Lets do keep in touch,

Hey Candee71...how are you doing? Just checking in with some of my buddies. How goes the journey? Enthusiasm still in place? Here too. Yet it is a bit rugged staying the course with the 8 week plan. I like to do a lot of things at once and find the course a little tedious at times. Oh well this to shall pass.
Blessings,

Hey Candee71...You are very bright I know you can ace this. Look at all you have already accomplished. I don't even have a web site at all yet. I'm still in week three. I feel like a race horse at the starting gate and like the old song 'turn me loose I say.' Someone said you don't get paid for articles they are just for traffic generation.is that true? Sure hope not. Anyway you go girl you're a winner!
Guitar fire, fired up

Thanks that is helpful and now that I am in week 4 I will ultimately have a web site to draw traffic to. How are you doing with your new site and did you find the niche yet? Hope so.
I had just gotten the impression from bummarketing Travis Sagos site the you could write and make money from articles alone. Oh well you are doing good and by the grace of God we will one day make mucho bucks.
Take care,
Sandi

Hi Candee how are you doing? Where did all your Squidoo articles, on you profile page, go? The last time I checked in with you you were working on a niche and in week 4. That's the week I'm bogged down in. Miss smarty pants was sailing through until this one.
I'm contemplating having a sub heading on one of my sites called ' A shoulder to cry on.'
Wish you the best,
Guitar fire,

Wow Candee a sale that's great! No I haven't done any articles or lenses yet I went on Squidoo and started an article but when they asked what URL I wanted to send it to I stopped writing. that's how computer challenged I am. I am happy about getting the three domain names I wanted tied them up for two years. Hmm that should keep 'my hand to the plough.' you say your sale is small but the Book I live by say's "despise not the day of small beginnings." So you are just laying a wonderful foundation for more exciting things to come.
keep in touch,
Sandi

thanks for the good advice,Candee, I really appreciate having met you here. I guess my difficulty is then=m asking what URL to send it to . Not having any web sites up I thought I would wait and write when i do. I wish you would put your articles back on your profile page they were good and i don't think it matters what others have or have not done. That's why it is your profile page. Can you hear the emphasis on your? I will check out the tutorial thanks again for the input.
Blessings,
Sandi

Wouldn't it make sense to have my web sites done and a place for articles? Oh the crazy excuses...seriously I don't have a clue where to send an article writing one won't be hard but they say 'what URL to send it to and I don't know. I'm very computer challenged as is obvious at this point. You are sweet to hang around with this newbie.
Talk later,
Sandi

Thank you,

Wow an e-book what is it about? I got four domain names now I am having trouble deciding which direction to go in first. they will all be very different themes.
'Lame names?' maybe we could share our new names in PM and exchange ideas.
I am getting such mixed reviews on site rubix some find it hard and others easy. I wish I was coming at IM with a shred of tech experience.
Have a great day,
Sandi

Hi! Thanks for visiting my profile. Sounds like you keep pretty busy yourself! When going through the process of learning, don't let yourself get overwhelmed, although that is bound to happen. Try to focus on just learning. The 8 week action plan is great. I've been reviewing wks 2 & 3. I have to confess I'm a bit behind on the rest of the course. My husband's been, I guess you'd say "under the weather", his having some complications due to his diabetes. He's not very good about complying with the doctors orders. He has venous surgery yesterday. Anyway, I've been taking care of EVERYTHING at home. So I'm trying to pull some hours on the computer too. I'm really excited about WA! Everyone here is so helpful! Good luck and keep in touch. Let me know how you're doing from time to time.

Hi! Good to hear from you! I'm struggling a bit. Trying to figure out "my" niche. Working on TRYING to create a website from Week 4 of the 8 week action plan. I skipped over it before, but now I'm trying to tackle it. It's really causing me alot of grief. Not understanding the procedure yet, but I keep reading and re-reading. I'll get it sooner or later. Keep reading! Thanks for the note.
candee71 Premium
The way I understand it is - you write articles about what ever it is you're trying to sell/promote and in the bio of the article you point the article to your website or to the website of what you are being an affiliate for. The way I've been doing it, although it so far hasn't brought any $ is write an artilce and submit it to Ezine Articles and in the bio I point it to my Squidoo lens. In the Squidoo lens I have links that point to the products I'm wanting to sell as an affiliate. Keep reading - it will become clearer. I jumped in and created an article in Squidoo, just to get my feet wet. I kept reading in the forum and kind of learned by doing. You're not charged for anything - so it doesn't matter if its awful, at least you learn some things. I've gone back and edited my lenes several times. Remember in Ezine Artilces you can not put and links to affiliate sites anywhere - the links have to point to your site/page/lens. Sorry for rambling - hope that helps.

Hi Sandi! I took them off because I noticed other WAers didn't have them listed on their profile. So, I thought maybe it wasn't the thing to do. I don't know. Guess what? I got a sale this weekend!--- $7.71--- but it's still a sale! Woo Hoo! Now I just got to make 1000's more and I'll be riding high!

Have to done any lenses or articles? Don't give up. Remember, You can't win if you don't run! Sometimes I feel, what's the use. Then I come into WA and read from the forum and there are so many helpful people here! After I read a few posts, I know I can do it and start plugging away again! Hang in there!!

Talk to you soon!

Hi! Sorry you're having trouble with Squidoo. If you haven't already - check out the tutorial under "LEARNING CENTER" - "JUNIOR" (that's one of the options on the left of the home page) - then scroll down the page to the Squidoo tutorial. That's what I followed when I did my first lens. I opened up two windows and kept going back and forth from WA to Squidoo until I completed my lens. Once you do one the others will be soo much easier. Also, it doesn't matter if its good or not - just do it. I've gone back many, many times to 'redo' mine.
candee71 Premium
okay I put them back on. Now you need to make one too.

Hi Sandi! No website yet, I'm working on it though - sort of - I'm also working on writing an ebook???? We'll see how that goes LOL! Let me know when you're up and running. I'm still having a hard time understanding the process. I've got three domain names which I'll probably never use cause they are lame names. Now I just need to figure out site rubix and also decide what I want to make a website about. What are you going to do?
candee71 Premium
Sandi, I guess I just wanted to let someone know I won't be working for awhile. My wonderful husband, Len passed away suddenly last Wednesday. I miss him very much. I know you are a woman of God and I ask for your prayers!

Hi candee71,

Welcome to WA. I think you made an excellent choice here. the community and forum boards are great. Make sure you work the 8 week action plan found on the left side of this screen, especially if you're really new to IM. For the price you can't beat the resources. Good luck and feel free to add me to your buddy list if you like! Karen

Hi Redrose! You were the first buddy I got when I joined in June. Just wanted to get in touch and see how it is going for you. I've put some things on EA and made some lenses on Squidoo. Not any $ yet, but I'm not giving up yet.

Hi candice... welcome to WA... You are of to a booming start if you ask me... I just read your comment ht hursty's about ezines...and yes I do think that you need to have your own site... I have bought a couple of 99cent dot info domains to get myself going through ezines, they are good to get up in the rankings... also they have strict guidlines in regards to content of you site! hope this helps :)

Thanks for your advice! I'm still learning and haven't been able to figure the website building yet. I need to read more. Read your bio. Good luck on your DREAM. We all need to have one!
