This came to me with the header Best Ad ever.  So, I got a chuckle.  But I was wondering what makes this so good.  Well, it has some definite curb appeal.  Gets men interested because it hits all the points that men in that target audience are looking for.  Its short and to the point.  Anyone else have ideas on why this ad is so good.  I'd love to hear what you all have to say.

That's funny! I think it's a great ad because it offers men what they crave for and it's put together in a way to maximize that craving!

I agree it is very clever and witty, but don't you think the humane society got more calls than real leads, because this ad is a very good example of how ignoring relevancy can reduce the quality of the target audience. You see where I am coming from? Most of those men were calling expecting to get a date, but when they realized they were being asked to adopt a dog, they not only felt embarrassed but also hung up realizing this was waayyyyyyy off from what they were looking for.
That said, I loved how interesting this writing is. It is very funny.

It's good ad copy simply because it arouses curiosity, especially in guys. Just like you said. It's so faux that it's funny!
