Two Mice in a Bucket
Last Update: July 10, 2012
I have a little story that came to mind while I was responding to another member's blog. It's just a story for motivation so I don't even know what tags to put with it...Anyway, here it goes....
Two mice fell into a bucket of milk left out in a barn. The bucket was only half full so the mice couldn't reach the top to get back out of the bucket. They swam around and tried as hard as they might to escape certain peril. They kicked their tiny legs frantically in an effort to reach the rim. This went on for a long time and the mice were getting tired. They were at the point where they didn't think they would ever make it out of that bucket when one of the mice gave up. Exhausted, he just couldn't find the strength to go on and succumbed to the situation and drowned.
The second mouse was so determined to get out of that bucket and not end up like his friend that he just kept trying. His little legs, strained from his efforts were weakening but he pushed on, he swam and jumped and swam and jumped. Soon the milk started to get thicker and thicker. This made his efforts even more difficult as his legs moved in the sluggish liquid. He still didn't give up.
The milk became harder and harder until the mouse realized that it had turned into butter. He was now able to stand on top of the milk and reach the rim. He escaped his certain plight but it wasn't easy. He only succeeded in reaching his goal but not giving up!
Determination is a great trait to have. Be like the little mouse who got out of the bucket. Just when you think you can't do anymore...do it anyway...because that's when things turn around.

Great little story!
I actually remember that story in the movie 'Catch me if you can'.
