Hey, Where Did My Street Articles Go?
Decided to check out how my articles for SA are ranking, and discovered they have totally disappeared. Why is that? They started out on the first page. I haven't paid any attention to them, but today I did, and now they're gone, even in the quoted search. Nowheresville!
Here's something you might find interesting. Before Panda and before no duplicate content rule, I took some of my Ezine articles and put them in my own site, and put some of my site's articles in EZA. Checked them too. They're mostly all on the first page, but my site ranked higher than EZA. In other words, article on my site was 2 or 3. EZA, for the same article was 6. Interestingly enough, they were both there though. Somebody translated one of them into German, and that one outranked EZA too. Is it still duplicate content if it's another language?
So Google may not like duplicate content, but I dominated page 1 for those keywords. Maybe they figured out that I'm the author and gave me top billing. Does this prove anything to you about duplicate content, when there are only a couple of them?
