Question About Pinterest

Last Update: August 15, 2012
You might know the answer to this.

How does one change the order of the boards in Pinterest?

I was told there is a button that reads "rearrange boards", but I haven't found it.

I've joined two group boards, and they are appearing as the first two boards on my page. I'd like to move them to the end. Would also like to change the order of some of my other boards.

Does anyone know how to do that?

Many thanks, J.

For anybody else who doesn't know how to do this, either follow jpnetco's instructions below, or check out this easy vid. : how to rearrange boards

Unfortunately I don't think they have a way to rearrange your pins on a board or make one sticky. I had to delete and re-add to do that. Hopefully, they'll give us a way to do that soon too.

That would be a very useful feature. They're probably working on it.

Go to your Pinterest page, mouse over your name, click on boards, once all your boards are up hover mouse over a board, it should say "set board cover", click anywhere on the board and it will bring up that board with a slider of all your pins on that board you can arrow left or right to choose the pin you want to be sticky, you can also crop that pin before you set it as your board cover.

Thanks for the help, jp. I actually knew this but many may not. I do choose what to make sticky but wish I could actually rearrange the pins on each board. Oh, and the cropping thing is cool...just move the pic...very easy to do.

I just tried this and it works for me.

To rearrange your boards:

- Go to your profile by clicking on your name at the top-right toolbar on Pinterest.
- When viewing your profile page, click the button on the center navigation bar, just to the right of the Edit Profile button.
- After you click this button, you’ll be able to click and drag your boards into a new arrangement on your profile.
- After you've finished rearranging, click on the red check-mark icon to save your arrangement.

You can rearrange your boards as many times as you’d like.

As a note: You cannot rearrange boards when using an iPad or other mobile device.
