Write an EBook.

I'm becoming more and more interested in creating my own products these days. Maybe you should be thinking about it too.

Doesn't have to be about how to make money online. Write about what you know and understand. Just make sure it's unique and not something people have seen many times before. Otherwise, they'll send it back for a refund.

It can be a "how to" book about a skill you have and can teach. Use your experience. Doesn't even have to be that long either. 20-25 pages will do it.

If you need help with the technical parts, you can hire people to help even here at WA.

Set up your website and an affiliate program so that other people can market your product for you. It can be presented on ClickBank or Amazon.

I think this is the best way to go.

Hi Jean - I agree with you about ebooks. I think they have got a bit of bad press in recent times particularly as there are so many that are free. I think people have to trust their own jugement and expertise and value their work.

The thing that often puts people off is the length of time it might take them to write a book. I picked up on twitter one day some instructionss to write a book in 48 hrs. It works and it's good to have a framework for working quickly.

I recently decided to create my own eBook after much hesitation. That old FEAR factor that maybe I will be a failure. But finally decided that I have nothing to lose except time so got started. Thought it might be difficult to find enough info to create adequate pages but GOOD LORD - once you start it seems to be tough to know when to stop!!! There is SO MUCH info available online about any subject that one cannot go wrong. Trick is to sort out the important stuff, that folks will want to read. Planning on Amazon but had not yet considered the affiliate idea - shall explore that as well. Thanks!!

How does the saying go..? It's more lucrative to create your own product rather than sell someone's elses. The thing is...I need to learn how to sell someone elses before I would know how to market my own...lol. I think it's a great idea Joan and on my list of things to do in the future!

Not only lucrative, but more fun. I agree, you have to get IM under your belt first so that you know how to market your product.
