Opinions Needed

Published a new website using the blogger platform. The site is freemoviewatch-online.com

Not adding much content to this one, as its main purpose it to get people to tell their cable company to "kick rocks". Would welcome any input on the current content and the overall look (and feel) of the site.

I find it hard to read the white text on black background...also, your ads are not relevant to your content, which is not going to make a lot of sense to your visitors.

White background black text has been proven to convert the best over and over again, nothing against doing something different, but I do think the text (in particular different colors within the text) on a black BG make it much tougher

WELL the theme looks great but you better be getting a bucket load of visitors because your are going to have a hard time converting. .

Tell them why they need kick rocks in more detail & also sell it too them why they need it you know the deal

(great domain name choice by the way) You should have 100% pre-sold them as there isn't really a pre-sell or a strong call to action on your page.

Also you will struggle with the adsence if you really want to target the CB product just give them that as a click-out .. Oh yeah and cloak your links ;)

PS: as the guy's said its always good to have a host that ain't gonna bother you. Hope that heips

I have noticed that the banner ads on your website do not match with the theme of your website. I would change those and maybe even take them away. Be a little more descriptive with your title, instead of kick rocks. As an outsider I did not know what you meant, or what the meaning of it was. I hope you get some ideas.

Thanks for that! Called myself trying to appeal to the crowd that was familiar with the term. This is a new niche for me, as my other websites are more "formal". I was just trying to do something different. Thanks for the advice! It is much appreciated :)

I have to ask why you're using Blogger and not taking advantage of the free hosting here + WordPress Express. It's a much more stable platform and you would not putting yourself at risk of violating Blogger's ToS.

I agree, and I have heard speculation that Blogger is going to phase out their service at some point, leaving people high and dry that are using their service...something to be acknowledge when you don't actually own the site and you are using a free website builder.

Good point. I used blogger with a few other projects and I'm just used to it. I do have a website hosted here though. I just went back to old habits!

Yeah, easy to fall back on your old habits. However, think of it this way. Your own website increases in value as you work on it and put more effort into it...a blogger blog does not.
