Lost my brother in law to cancer yesterday. It was a long hard battle, but I thought he was winning. Whole family is in shock, including me.

Ron came into our family when I was fifteen, so he's my bro and not "in law". In a way, we grew up together. He was such a big brother. Big influence. He encouraged me to take bold steps whenever I was hesitant or afraid to move forward. Such a good brother.

He lived life "to the fullest",  as much as he could. He was a very bright and talented person. Jazz musician as well as other things.

We're going to miss him.

I'll be away for a few days.
