Google Looking for it Sea Legs
With change comes temporary upset. Well, that's the conclusion I've come to about Google.
Since the algorithm change, we've all noticed things are different. Not all good either. I trust since it's Google it'll all wash in the end.
I've been belly aching here about plagiarism, a pet peeve. That's been compounded by Google acknowledging the thieves and tossing the genuine.
Google wants value. It wants content. It wants authenticity and credibility. Good. So do I. So do you. My latest article is nowhere to be found in Google. One of our members, Robert suggested I look in Yahoo and Bing, which I did and it's #1 in both. I would have been happy if it just showed up in the first 2 pages. Heck, the first 3 pages. Google has been ranking 2 sleazy plagiarists as 1 and 2 on the first page, both using my article. The second one is selling sex toys. That's fine, but there is no relevance to the article. They published the article in its entirety without authorship and link. Gotta be grateful for small blessings.
So in case you have noticed articles disappearing in Google, or websites for that matter (way more serious), then it's just Google looking for the tidal basin.
