New Software From IRIS!

Last Update: June 14, 2011

Have you seen it? Woo, woo...excited about this one.

It's IRIS notes Executive, a digital pen and mobile note taker that can capture handwritten notes and drawings, as well as edit, save and export them.  Costs $99.

Just think of what you can do with this! You can personalize your websites and email with your handwritten messages and DRAWINGS! You write your text, make little drawings,  using the provided ink pen, and your handwritten notes will be instantly converted into editable text.

Works on any paper with normal ink refill. All you do is place the receiver on the top or corner of your document and then write!

Big temptation!

This is my kind of technology!

Handwriting recognition is what I'm interested in, and picking up drawings. Iris has always been a good company. From the reviews, many people complained they didn't have support from Iris. A couple people loved the pen. I love the idea.

They've had these a few years now. The one I liked allowed you to carry it with you. You took it to meetings, etc. It recorded everything on a memory chip. Then when you get back to the office you download to your computer. Most business people didn't like it because they still had to type their notes into MS-Word for reports etc.. I thought IRIS was one of the companies working on handwriting recognition. Yeah, they haven't seen my handwriting yet!

No I just googled "IRIS notes Executive" and that was the #1 ranking page. I can't comment on the product cos I hadn't been aware of it until you blogged. As far as reviews go I never believe everything I read:-) If it looks promising and something I might use I would find someone trustworthy close to home who could prove it with a demo. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

genegem, I see you went into Amazon to read the reviews. I was surprised to read that people were unhappy with Iris customer service, if it's the same company as the Iris printer, a company I've used successfully for years. Iris isn't the only company that makes these note takers. One that looks very promising is LogiPen Notes, and the one from Sharper Image looks good too. Point is, it is a great tool for us marketers. Just have to research the right one, as you did.

Sounds good but the reviews here "http://www.amazon.com/IrisNotes-Executive-1-0-Digital-Pen/product-reviews/B002VPU9IU" and comments from purchasers aren't too inspiring.
