30 Days club is breaking the barriers
At last I feel I may get somewhere with WA. Having restarted in December, I became overwhelmed and bogged down again by what I was being asked to do in the Training Centre and the endless layers of information I was told to dig into. So I gave up again. Came back a few days ago for a last ditch attempt before my sub runs out, saw the 30 Days club advert and signed up.
I have just completed Day 2. I know it is very much the start, however, I now have an idea for a niche, a domain, and the beginnings of a web site, none of which I had managed to achieve before with the old training course. The fact that tasks are broken down into little achievable pieces and all the information to achieve each bit is presented in one place, has made all the difference.
My only whinge is the reliance on videos. I can only view one or two seconds of a video at a time, then have to wait, sometimes even for several minutes, before the next couple of seconds downloads. It makes watching even a short video intensely frustrating.
Although I have 16 Mb broadband coming into the house, I only get dowload speeds of 20-100 kb/sec, most of the time nearer to the bottom of that range. My IT person has tried tweaking the network in all sorts of ways, got me to buy a really expensive router, booster thingies to stick in the electric sockets upstairs and downstairs, but nothing helps. Unfortunately, the phone line is downstairs, and my study is upstairs. There is something strange about my house, which affects the wireless signal. As well as slow downloads, the Internet connection drops several times an hour.
Therefore, I really wish that transcripts of the videos were available!!!
