Update: How I Make $4,000+ a Month
What a surprise to see my previous blog post featured as the Blog of the Day on Wealthy Affiliate! After a ton of comments and questions on my post about earning over $4k/month for three months straight, I thought I'd post again to explain further and to answer some of those queries.
Several people asked via comment or PM how many sites I have, or where my income comes from. Here are my top sources of residual income:
- eHow articles (revenue share from the site; articles are1-3 years old)
- Affiliate commissions from cj.com, clickbank, Amazon Associates, Wealthy Affiliate, and a few others.
- Google Adsense
I wrote eHow articles through the site and through Demand Studios from 2007-2010 when they ended the eHow Writers Compensation program to new articles (old articles continue to earn, and you can write new ones through Demand Studios if you get accepted there. I write new ones occasionally). I have 400+ articles on eHow.
My affiliate commissions are generated from a combination of affiliate links on my blogs, websites, forum signatures and eHow articles. This is where Wealthy Affiliate has helped me the most: my affiliate income has grown tremendously since I joined WA and put WA training into action.
One niche site in particular has been really successful for selling a physical product (via cj.com) and I started it this past August -- thanks to the info I gleaned from the WA article club, it's off to a great start.
The majority of my Adsense income (75%) comes from a different niche site that I started about two years ago and that has about 2 dozen pages. The rest of the ad income is from a handful of niche sites and blogs which I have started in the past couple years, but which need serious promotion and more content -- my projects for the coming year.
Now, I didn't get here overnight! I have almost doubled my residual income form online writing and marketing since I started WA, but I have been working on this for over three years now. I don't think there's anyone who has seen overnight success in the online marketing world.
Training I reccomend:
- WA Action Plan
- WA Article Club
- WA training for specific areas where you are not proficient
As a work at home mom, I've found that it's critical to protect your work space and time. Make your internet marketing efforts a priority, and treat your work like a professional would -- because that's what you are striving to become.
Best of luck to each of you!
