I'm finally back from a long vacation and literally have been away from a computer for a week -- on a desert island even. We've been on an island in the middle of the Albemarle Sound and have generated electricity at night. Since we almost live on boats for the week, I left all laptops and telephones at home.

 It was great. I took my grandniece and grandnephew with me, and they had a blast. We were able to swim alongside several dolphin pods, sail, swim, jet ski, kayak not me), fish, and motorboat down to Oregon Inlet and out into the ocean. It was great fun to be with about 23 members of my husband's family. 

 We even spent July 4th watching the fireworks displays at Duck, Kitty Hawk, Manteo and maybe Elizabeth City -- all at the same time from boats in the middle of the sound. The stars were brilliant, the Milky Way is still up there, and the satellite is still visible making its way across the heavens at precisely its expected hour of evening. 

 What used to be desolate and primitive has become more commercialized than to my likings, but  it was still quite beautiful and wonderful.

 Now, back to reality.

I've forgotten all of the IM stuff I've learned. I was in the middle of learning to set up a website, so I need to regroup and review. I have no clue what I was doing before I left.

So it's back to square one here.

How'd it get to be July 9 already?
