Ryan Deiss is at it again with another scarcity pitch about the web changing, and how if you don't do this or that you're DOOMED to fail online.  DOOMED. I watched the full 60-minute presentation, but what do you know I'm one of the idiots who willfully chooses to fail online. If you're curious, the latest product is called Digital Marketer Labs.  I'm not promoting this, and I'm not a member, but I have a sneaking feeling that it's over-priced and most of its subscribers won't even mee

Hello WA'ers! I haven't written a blog in awhile, and I decided on a whim to come back and post a goodie for anyone who's struggling to build up their first niche site. Normally people are very protective of their niche sites or whatever, but I don't feel like I really need to be at this point and it's more valuable for me to show this to everyone at WA because someday I may want to launch my own product and this is a good way of being transparent and working on that whole trust angle (full disc

I'll keep this short. I know how precious our time, energy and attention is. I appreciate that anyone takes the time to read this and understand. A young friend of mine, Asher Brown, 13, decided to kill himself on Thursday, September 23. He was being bullied at school. Other kids kicked him down the stairs, kicked the books out of his hands when he went to pick them up, and called him all kinds of names. Asher was a small kid for his age and he had a quirky personality, that set him apart. He wa

The first things I want to say is I no longer recommend CleverCloaker. To keep a long story short, I find using a simple PHP redirect much easier since talking it through with some more experienced marketers. Here's an example of the code: <?php header("Location: http://www.kqzyfj.com/click-3883841-10509591?url=http://www.bonsaiboy.com/catalog/juniper-bonsai-tree-a1001.html"); exit; ?> You would save the code to a file called index.php and put it in a folder on your server like

Before I write this blog for the second time let me just get this off my chest: I hate you WA! I hate you so much for erasing my long blog post, forcing me to log in again and not remembering what I spent at least 7 minutes writing. Then you wouldn't even let me go back and recover it with the back button. That's not nice, man. Not nice at all. Okay, I forgive you. You're right, I should've copied and pasted it into Notepad before hitting that "Save" button. Yes, well, maybe you should

For those of you who have no idea what the title means, the != means DOES NOT EQUAL in some computer programming languages. In this case, the statement reads "FREE DOES NOT EQUAL BAD." Now to my point, which I feel is self-evident: just because it's FREE does not mean it's BAD. The word "free" really has gotten abused, much like other overused words like "love," and it's hard to tell when it means just what it says. In my opinion it all comes down to trust. Do you t

Zen is that state you're in when you're completely focused on what you're doing. All else disappears. You become what you're doing, there is no longer a wall separating you from the other. This is the state I strive for. I found these poems stashed away in cleaning out my old bookmarks from last year. They stand on their own. McZen Poems

I work in IT support. That's right, I'm the guy you call when your computer is "broken." Rather, it isn't doing just what you're expecting it to do, when you're expecting it to do it. Maybe you have a good relationship with me. Maybe you'd rather not talk about it. Maybe you never even thought about it. But I'm here, and believe it or not I don't live to fix your computer. A lot of times I hate my job because you don't follow instructions and would rather push the blame on me for
