Crushing Plagarism
I have to admit, I have a real pet peeve about plagarism. While it is one thing to do research and write (hopefully) an improvement or accumulation piece on researched topics - it is quite another thing to outright take content word for word from another source without attribution.
One easy way to report plagarism to Google is by using the Spam report.
found here:
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/spamreport?hl=en
This report does not require all the legalese of the DMCA notice, but it has no less the impact when it comes to Google searches.
When you use the Spam report, be sure to mention the page in question is plagarized material, and include a link to the original, unedited article.
Further - if the plagarized content is posted at a site like one of the major articles directories, REPORT IT to that directory. Articles directories take plagarism VERY seriously and act with an extremely heavy hand when it comes to offenders (think entire account deletion!).
You DO NOT have to sit back helplessly as your content gets stolen without attribution. FIGHT BACK!
