Well another small milestone. My article on career change at 50: getting unstuck (which is also a softsell of WA-thank-you article marketing club!) got a page 1 ranking on google, and a first listing. I did not know how to do that before, but thanks to the article marketing club, I have learned how to use key words in my article writing with more precision. Wealthy Affiliate Rocks!
For past year, I've been learning by trial and error about article marketing, (even made some sales). Now, I look forward to tackling this in a systematic way.I like the systematic way we are being asked to drill down for focused topics that relate to WA and compete well for keywords. These are things I didn't really get last year!
This journey of Internet marketing is certain one of a thousand steps, and every now and then I reach a milestone that marks some of those footsteps. This week, I became "platinum" at Ezine.
The hard part was not the actual writing. I know how to write. I had a previous career in writing and promotions. What was hard was maintaining consistent effort to meet this small goal I had set. My internet marketing efforts have been sporadic. I have many competing priorities, but the more
I joined Squidoo in January of this year, before I joined the WA. Back then, I was feeling my way around by trial and error. I had this one lense that was ranking OK, and over the year kept making small improvements, keyword optimization, etc. Whether it was the weather, the time of the year or just luck, but at the beginning of September (I had only just checked) it appears I made two sales. How about that. Also, I have some hubs (at Hubpages) and a monetized blog on a niche subject and it seem
Today my first $20 from Internet marketing arrived in my paypal account. It's a happy day. That means it's concrete. You really can make money using the Internet. It's a small but significant start. Like the restaurant owner who frames his first $1, I 'll frame this (at least in my mind). Happy Canada Day my fellow Canadians and fellow wealthy Affiliates!
I had three weeks where I couldn't be terribly productive. Life gets in the way of other plans sometimes. Lately though, I've been immersing myself.
What I know now that I didn't know before I came here
1) How to set up a website quickly (site rubix). It's almost a no brainer
2)How to better choose key words. That for me was a challenge before I came here. I was on the the "trial and error" system before--totally. Well, I think there's still a bit of tria and error involved, and the o
Life has been busy--and all that talk about consistent effort fell by the way side. I'm back now. I made a sale to a friend (WA subscription sale). It's small but movtivating. Where there's one, there's more. My goal is to make more sales of the WA system. I think there are more prospects amongst those who are close in, but more potential through some of the methods given. Ah goals...
Writing for me has always been an important way to document the journey, integrate new learning, and talk into the ether when no one else was around to listen.
Today, I did most of lesson 3 in the action plan. Some of these things, I've read/heard before, but there was a lot of dimension here. I got as far as identifying 16 niches from DMOZ, but need to find one to drill down to 10 subniches. That will be tomorrow's task
Before I came here, I had experimented with Squidoo and Hubpages. I may
It has been two weeks since I joined. I have been flipping through the tools, reading tutorials, incorporating the learning. I am impressed with this site. I have just finished an Masters in Distance education and this is a fine example of a well-organized, content rich, community based interactive Web site.
I have been trying to find my way in affiliate marketing (started sometime in November), have tripped and fallen, have gotten overloaded and annoyed. And now I'm going to stick with this. I
