Starting over

Last Update: September 08, 2010

Well i put my current niche on the shelf and focusing on something else. Realised it would be my ppc project when i got the article marketing down. I ran into new troubles of course :-)

Figured i should write about self- help to treat depressions and found some stuff to promote, but then it hit me i have to look for reviews about the products, and then i have to promote something i haven't actually tried......

I have however experienced depression so i can use that. but how can i promote a product with no reference and claim it is better or worse in a review....

I Know...... Research forums.....  The feeling of getting nowhere is comming back again.

Maybe im pushing to hard, i just want to get to the point where i actually have something online that i can tweak and watch, without getting sloppy. Been a member since 24th august and i haven't produced a single article yet. All i have to show is my domain and wordpress site i started to build in a complete different niche.

It is still fun though, just getting frustrated.

I echo what Joan and the OldMizer are saying. I think you are doing so well. Really! You've probably learned a lot that is valuable, just by the steps you've been taking, And it may be awhile before you can see that value. Looking back at it later, usually helps. I bounced around ideas for different niches before settling on my first one that I'm (finally...) happily at work with. I think that is part of the process for the majority of people here. Every day I do some little thing, it begins to add up.

Thanks for helping. I notice that im learning it by every thing i do. I have to rethink my keywords though and then i have to rewrite the article some so the keywords fit, but i am pretty confident there is a market for it. I will take a look at some magazines about health like you suggest, but i already know what i would be looking for, but doesn't mean others do it though.

Stavfel. I think you are doing great. You've only been here a very short while. Even though I had written many articles for my websites before I came here, all the instruction here about writing an article suitable for the free directories caused me to freeze up. It took me a while to do articles for Squidoo and EZA. Once you do a couple of them, you get into a rhythm. They begin to flow. Matt gave you good advice. Also go into the depressed people forums and read what people are saying. You'll find out what their pain is and how you can help them.

You are learning Stavfel, that is the important part. I will pass along a couple of tips that have helped me. Anytime you are going to write content for a blog, site or anything else, ...open up WordPad and start there. That way you can save it. Then if something should happen to where your blog or site is sitting, you have a backup copy on your hard drive. Believe me, I learned this lesson the hard way here. By my mistake I went looking somewhere I should have stayed out of and with one click of the mouse, ...everything was GONE!! I came across another good tip that Kyle mentioned in one of the courses. e.g. If you are going to promote something to do with health and/or depression, go to the local retail store. Look at the magazines on the shelf and grab one that is focused on health. See what the ads are for and read some of the articles in it. This usually gives you the why or how do I fix this. Which is a good way to get into the mindset of an individual that might be looking for this type of product. If you don't have time to read through it, purchase it and take it home. You will be surprised at the ideas which come to mind. 8^}
