An Explanation Would Be Appreciated

Is a "blog" the best place to ask this question? Here goes...
I'm really happy to have "Article Power" numbers, and I use them regularly. However, I'm very curious to know how they are arrived at. I know what they mean. Just trying to figure out how K and C have been able to compute how popular a keyword will be. Also, how is PPC Power computed? That might be a little easier to figure out.
Thanks!

article power i have no idea how it is computed. PPC here is my theory. Think of supply and demand or individual stocks on the stock market. Usually when a product has great demand or a stock is being bought by many buyers, the price goes up. The price goes up because there is only a limited supply. So I would imagine PPC KWs work off the same concept. If you have a lollipop, just one and three people want it do you think you will get more money for that lollipop compare to if only one person wants it?

Thanks Louise.
"It is based on Keyword competition, Traffic, and other statistics."
Wonder what the other statistics are.

Valid questions that deserve an answer. I would like to be in on the answer to them as well.
