I spend quite a bit of time on Reverb Nation searching and discovering new music, well new to me at least. There's an abundance of really top quality professional artists on RN.

When I was a teenager I used to listen to all types of music, anything and everything, if it sounded good to me, whatever the genre I just liked it and would collect it.

The thing about music for me is that if it makes me feel something right away then it's good and I like it and collect it. I know whether I like it or not within the first few seconds of listening to it. I have a very noticeable emotional response, a spontaneous response and I just like it or not. Maybe you know and can relate to what I'm saying.

Something I'd like to do here at WAU is share my collections of music with those of you folk who'd like me to do that. Taking this a little further I had an idea that I'd like to invite you to participate in.

Tell me by way of whatever communication you feel comfortable, what type of music you like and I'll go off and find something to bring back for you to listen to. (please just note that everything I do on my site must be family friendly so there are some genres of music that I wouldn't include in this arrangement, no offence intended to anyone)

If you're happy with the music I've found for you I'd like to create a special page on my website that will have your name, real or fictitious, up to you, at the top. It'll say for example, something like...Mac Donald presents.....Big Mac & The Lazy Duck Blues Band....

Along with your name at the top of the page I'll add whatever link you'd like to feature that will drive traffic to the website of your choice, up to you. It could be a link with just text or could even be html code that would display a smallish banner or whatever creative idea you might think of.

I just thought of this idea today and I'd really like to give it a go. Just think about what type of music you like best, let me know and I'll go find some and report back to you once I have something for you to listen to. If you like what I've found and you're happy, and only if you're happy, I'll set up the page on my site for you with the music you like. If any other WAU members like your choice of music and would also like to add a song on that page I could find a song for them in that genre as well and add it to that same page along with a link to a website of their choice. (Everything being family friendly of course) :)

I imagine that over time there will be dozens of pages, some with only one presenter, some with two or more, and lots of links to lots of websites featuring all of your highly valuable resources for folk to learn from and reference back to you the one presenting the music on that page.

So, over to you folks here at WAU. What do you think? Is this something you'd like to participate in, no cost at all involved. Good idea, bad or somewhere in between?

Please consider giving this a try and see how it goes. I'll work away at finding you some music in your favorite genres, report back to you, if you're happy give you a page with songs and a link. Then I'll go and start doing my sharing thing that I enjoy doing, sharing your pages through my growing networks so people will see your website links. Also I could start writing articles about the music on your pages and hopefully over time be driving traffic to your pages on my site and in turn traffic to your websites. I get traffic and so do you, that's my theory anyways:)

It's kind of like I'm working for you while at the same time I'm working for me, all the while doing stuff that I find fun:) And.... you would have yet another place to go whenever you wanted and listen to your favorite type of music:)
