Google Farmer, Ezine, Squidoo, Scribd tighten control over Make Money and Slimming What does it mean

Last Update: May 30, 2011

I have been reading rather a lot of posts on here recently about the so called tightening of the rules by Google, Squidoo, Ezine, Scribd etc.

However have they really tightened or is it just that we have been guilty of being sloppy? Google never did like direct link advertising sites. These target keywords and steal the traffic from under the noses of the hardworking people who have built real authority sites!

What is it that people are missing? I think we are all guilty of not reading and understanding the rules fully. I know that when I was a newbie, and yes even now sometimes I do not always read all of the rules before I post. You get a hot new idea and follow the guidelines of some other more experienced marketer, but you are not aware of the rule that snags you, we feel we should have been told or should get a second chance and are really hurt. Worse, sometimes we lose hours of work and our site too.

The real lesson here? Keep everything relevant, and promote alternatives not just products from one site. Make your posts original and do not copy funnels and sites verbatim Google will, and does stamp on sites that do not add anything new! This however can not be applied to articles, because the directories rules require exact duplication down to the bio box etc. However due to this Google are getting stricter on the links and where they lead. The low down is we need to have original review sites as our landing pages with links to several different suppliers of competing products. Should this bother us?

Hell no we will have to build more informative and relevant sites with comparatives, but what will this mean from an Internet Marketers perspective? More clicks and ultimately more sales! It will even help us qualify to be paid by ClickBank quicker so do we need to be afraid? No just more determined more professional and less lazy in just reproducing an exact copy of a template site. Add to it change it and give value from the customers perspective and you will succeed. It will not matter where you place your sites if you follow these sound basic principles of Internet Marketing.

So lets be relevant, add value compare products features from the buyers perspective, be original, get the word out and drive more traffic to more links and what will we all get? MORE SALES! and less to complain about!  I know I have been guilty of taking the easy route in the past let's own it and move forward together to greater success.
