Buying a new computer and interested in knowing which brand you guys consider the best right now. I know that Apple is a favorite. I like them too. But want a PC for this work. Someone told me HP isn't as good as it was, and that Dell is good. What do you suggest?

Just had an onslaught of technology blow at once. So, if I don't get back to you right away, that's why. Computer went to computer heaven. Also the house boiler blew in zero degree weather, ugh. Electric heaters everywhere just trying to keep warm while the parts come in, and a snowstorm is expected midday. I feel like Dr. Zhivago. I can still write articles though. That's the good news. So, if I'm not around for a few days, I'm digging out of the snow.     Cheers, I think.

I've never been part of a football team, not that I didn't want to be. I went to an all girl's school and we played field hockey instead. Here's some Sunday coaching from the Godfather himself. Sums it up for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WO4tIrjBDkk

If an idea is staying with you, if it feels fresh, if you don't tire of it, if it's ringing true, then you'd better go with it. That's you talking to you, so listen up. I was away from my office a couple days this week due to family matters, which turns out to have been a good thing, even though I was very concerned about missing some of the Article Marketing Club, and indeed have to play "catch up" today and this weekend. I'm looking forward to that. That aside, being away from the co

THRILLED!!! Thank you guys! Thank you Marcus, Kyle, and Carson for choosing me to partake in the WA Article Marketing Club. I am psyched. Have been wanting to do this for so long. I have such a good feeling about it. There's more than a nugget in there somewhere. I feel it in my teeth!  Can't wait! Fellow members, I will share insights with you. Promise.    Have to tell you, I get intense. Will be doing a couple things at once, but I can handle it. Here goes!

It's snowing where I live. Snow is close to 2 feet high so far, and still falling. I live in Southern Connecticut, and we haven't gotten this much snow since I was a wee one, many moons ago. Wow!  Feels like the old days. Probably why I'm goofing off and want to go outside and build a snowman instead of working. Everyone here is a grown up, so I may have to build that snowman solo. Not quite packing snow, but it'll do. The marketer's mind never quits. My eyes are constantly open for the pe

... about link exchanges.  I have been barraged with requests from people who want to do link exchanges. Many of them have absolutely nothing to do with my niche. Others are competition??? Others seem good, in that they are in related fields but sufficiently different so that they are not competitive. It was suggested to me way back in my IM career, pre-WA, that link exchanges are a good way to get backlinks. Problem is that they are 2 way links, which I have since learned are not as

Taken from a paragraph in Seth Godin's book Linchpin. Godin thinks "fearless" should be cultivated, and is held in high esteem by corporations. It's a prerequisite for a Linchpin. What's the best way to handle fear? Recognize it, feel it, but don't let it stop you. Go forward. Do it anyway. I used to be terrified every time I had to make a presentation to a group of people. I'm very shy. Checked out the hair, the teeth, makeup, the stance, what I was wearing, and rehearsed the e

I know it's Saturday and I don't want to bore or bog you down you with a lot of reading. Just scan this to get the high points. It's an article that was written in 2008 for Draperies & Window Coverings Magazine by a top executive in the drapery industry. It applies to trends happening now and to many of the niches we are in. I think it's an important read because it can help you shape your strategy. Trend predictions are very interesting to me. Good to hear what other people have to say. &nb

Need to know if I'm right. Part of my new plan is to become more deliberate and analytical so that I can assess my progress better. No secret, I am a horse sense sort of person who shoots from the hip and tends to land on her feet most of the time. I generally hate numbers.  I noticed that most IM masters here are very analytical and are always checking stats. So I decided to check a few of my own things out this morning, starting with how my articles and keywords are ranking in Google. I
