I have been in the balloon industry since 2000 and ran a balloon decorating business as well as an on-line shop. My husband then gave up his job back in 2007 to join me in the business. Unfortunately I had to give up the decorating about 2 years ago due to ill health and the on-line shop has been taking a bit of a nosedive too! I had an operation in January which didn't go to plan and so I am awaiting more surgery and meanwhile our business has continued on a downward spiral and we're getting close to not being able to pay the rent!

I have been pondering over Affiliate Market for a while now but everything either appeared too good to be true or they didn't appear to me making any money at all. Then while trying to stop my website falling off page 1 of Google I stumbled across Wealthy Affiliates which gave me a slightly warmer feeling about the possibility of earning a living this way. I have been loitering around for a couple of months now trying to decide whether to take the plunge and then out of the blue they came up with the $1 promotion and I was bang out of reasons for not giving it a try. So here I am and, after spending all weekend reading as much as I could, I feel that my head is about to explode!!

But from what I have seen of WA and the WA members I'm pretty sure I have made the right decision and hopefully here's to a happier and wealthier 2012!
