Bermuda Here I Come!

My sister and I are heading off for a well deserved 2 week vacation the day after tomorrow.
I'm super excited as she's my favourite travel partner! ...sshhh...don't tell my man I said that ;)

1 week in Rhode Island and a 1 week cruise to Bermuda.

If anyone has travelled to these places and would like to share any points of interest, I'd love to hear about them.

Sounds wonderful Dee. When you go to Rhode Island, be sure to go to Newport and do a tour of at least one of the mansions, and then do the beach walk. You can walk behind the mansions and see the spectacular gardens, while walking on the beach. Have fun.

That's funny Joan...your vacation 'tip' is the very reasons we're heading to Rhode Island!

Last year we took a Canada/New England Cruise and Newport was one of the ports of call. We shopped, ate, toured, and then at the very end of our day we went to see the Vanderbilt mansion...WOW! Unfortunately our ship was leaving and we had to race back. We missed out on seeing half the mansion, the beach walk, the gardens, and all the other "summer cottages". I'll be sure to walk behind the mansions and see the gardens this time around!

Been there long time ago. I remember the lovely pink sand at Elbow beach and the whistling tree frogs.

Thanks Lisa. I've seen the red sand beaches of PEI and the red and black sand beaches of Santorini...looking forward to the seeing the pink in Bermuda.
