What is the Giant Squid Program?

Some of you have asked me about Giant Squid.  What is it and how do you get there?   The Giant Squid Program at Squidoo recognizes lensmasters who have created 50 quality lenses.  You will see their Giant Squid badge at the top of their lenses.

At this point, the deadline for applying for Giant Squid is only 18 days away.  If you do not make 50 qualified lenses by this deadline, there will be a new deadline next quarter.  If you apply and don't make it the first time, then you have a brand new opportunity to clean up your lenses and try again the next quarter.

Giant Squids receive gold stars on their lenses giving them a little lensrank boost.  Giants also have their own blog, the ability to create a template for lensmaking and a first-look at all the new tools.  There is a very special camaraderie among Giants -- supporting and encouraging each other.

 Giant Squid is worth the effort!

I only have one group that i have that many lenses in and most of them are rubbish! Mostly I follow the no more than 20 lenses per group rule so havent attempted this. t woudl be nice to get though

Thanks for sharing this information, moonvine. I look forward to learning more about it. I fiddled with a few lenses, but I think they've sat there unpublished while I worked on projects elsewhere. It's time to look up my username and passwords for Squidoo. I'm envious of your expertise there.
