Are you seeing the forest for the trees? Sometimes things are so in front of your face that they could bite you if they were lions or tigers. So why do we miss seeing the obvious? Why did I miss seeing the obvious? Is it masochism? Do I really want to suffer? Well, of course not. Silly and dumb, lol. Sometimes things are too obvious. We figure it can't be that easy. Guess what? It's one of the great mysteries of life, why we allow pain and frustration by beating our heads against the wall, whe

In my research, looking into what all the hoopla about 2012 really means, I came across infosomatics of the brain. "New worldview-for the New Millenium". What does it mean? Not sure I really know, however I got the general idea of it from the interview and videos. Consistent with everything else I have been reading, experiencing, and feeling. Our brains are far more powerful than we know.  I'm making a link to an interview with scientist and President of the International Institu

Doesn't take long to form a new habit. In the new year, try something you've never done before. You don't know what you're capable of doing until you try. Here's what Matt Cutts did. Matt Cutts: Try something new for 30 days...

The beginning of a new year is like having a brand new notebook with clean white pages just waiting for our imprint, our intentions to be written down as a strategy, a new plan to follow. A new year is full of possibilities. It's your life. It's my life. We are the authors. Only you or I can decide how to use this time. Some people are self employed. Others have employers. Some are doing both things.  It's fine either way. It's a matter of optimizing  whatever you're doing. Perform a

There's something exhilarating about Christmas. Have you noticed? Man, I get so inspired this time of year. Maybe it has something to do with heightened awareness, or the thought of a new year, or just feeling the good vibe.  I don't know what it is, but I'd like to capture this energy and draw on it the whole year long. Even though entertaining and going to parties can be distracting,  I tend to work really well and creatively during Christmas, especially the week before Christmas w

Had lunch with a good friend yesterday. He's the same top performing executive who was directed to "drink the Kool-Aid" earlier this season. Do you remember the story I told about my friend's dull corporate directive to not think,  just follow directions and not lead? I thought titled executives were hired to lead. Maybe I'm naive. Gets me where I live. It made me so angry. There's a sequel to that story that further illustrates the lunacy in the corporate world today, and why w

I've been trying to figure this out, and haven't a clue. Maybe one of you knows, or can figure it out. Not exactly IM, but it's mind boggling anyway. Puzzlement is good for the brain, especially if you stretch and  find the answers. At any rate , it's good fun. Beach Blanket Trick

I love the holidays, especially Christmas. The whole world is okay at Christmas. That's the magic of the season, the glorious transcendence. Everything becomes more vivid this time of year: the colors, all the lights, the razzmatazz, the hustle and bustle. Love the spirit of generosity that prevails, even amidst holiday preparations and other stresses. Holidays are a good excuse to decompress and step out of the day to day. Was in New York this week on business, but took in the sights just li

"Be gentle, kind and beautiful, yet firm and strong, both mentally and physically." Sensei Fukuda cried tears of joy upon learning of her tenth dan promotion by USA Judo, saying "All my life this has been my dream."   Something to ponder over the weekend, a story about a 98 year old woman who has earned judo's highest degree. Check out the video. 98 year old 10th degree black belt It is so inspiring to see what we are capable of doing with passion, dedication, and a
