A fairly recent list building strategy that has come on the Internet marketing scene is the Giveaway Event. Before the giveaway part of the event formally opens, you can become a contributor, which means you can list your free bonus gift in the event. Just like you would normally do to build your email opt-in list, you offer the free bonus in exchange for each recipient's email address.  The difference is that when you contribute to the Giveaway Event you benefit from the promotion of the e

I figure it's high time I do a bit of bragging about how far I've come since I started on this Internet marketing journey back in July.  I've actually come a long way, and I'm starting to make a bit of money regularly.  It's a trickle, but it is a steady trickle and it's growing. A few days ago I got an email that said someone bought through my 1and1 affiliate link (I'm guessing a domain) and I earned $2.50.  Then a few days later, 1and1 just automatically made a payment to my Pay

I just posted this on my website Online Marketing 101, and felt it was worth reposting here.  I see a huge trend in those free but lucrative opportunities that's only going to increase especially given the current economy.  I believe we Internet marketers ignore those free opportunities at our own peril. I recently started using Facebook more heavily to network with others who are involved in both Internet marketing and network marketing.  Networking this way on Facebook has alr

I was looking around for some free ebook cover software and I just happened across this site because he had recently blogged about that very thing. This guy rants about Internet marketing and I think the site may be worth checking out anytime you get frustrated, discouraged, or just plain need a good laugh. I may become a regular follower. For now, I give you his sales page spoof.  I enjoyed reading it.

This is for everyone wanting to build their email list.  Something I'm trying out.  This is a new giveaway called Let Them Eat Cake.  What you do is provide a free ebook or product that you will give people in exchange for joining your list.  The Giveaway promotes the event to attract people with all the free products.   The event starts February 10 so you have time to register and pick the product you want to give and build the squeeze page and "thank you" pa
I joined this site because I was looking for some free rebrandable ebooks to give away in an upcoming listbuilding event I'm involved in. All I need is the free membership that provides the free ebooks, OK? Wanna know how many times I was hit with a one time offer I will never see again? Four times! For the fourth time, yes I will pass up this offer that I'll never see again.  Just take me to your members' area. This is effective marketing?

Here's something interesting I came across, especially for people here looking to build up an email list.  This is copy for what is supposed to be sent as an email, but I'm just posting it on my blog for everyone who might be interested. =================================================== SUBJECT LINES: 1. [JV INVITE]  My Personal Invitation To You! 2. The IM Newbies Giveaway - EXCLUSIVE JV Invite... 3. Private Invitation to The IM Newbies Giveaway 4. You are invited to participate in
I came across this interesting online opportunity.  I love free or inexpensive opportunities that have multiple referral levels, and this one has 50--the most I've ever seen. My question is about the product itself.  It's an SMS service that will allow you to send reminder text messages to your cell phone.  The free service allows you to send one text message at a time.  The paid service (one time fee of 19.95) allows you to send as many text messages as you like and set recu

I've been a bit of a slacker most of the month of December.  I decided I wanted to get at least one more article submitted to EzineArticles before 2010 ends, and submitted my latest composition. The post submission message looked different somehow and mentioned the time it takes for Platinum level authors to get their articles approved. Could it be?  The last I'd checked EzineArticles they had kept me at Basic Plus and instructed me to submit 25 more articles before I'd be considered f

I recently watched a Varolo ad about this free membership shopping cashback network called Big Crumbs. This morning I finally took the plunge and joined because I knew Ebay is one of the stores offering cash back and I have been meaning to buy a dollhouse for my children on Ebay.  I just bought it and can't wait to see their faces when it arrives! So anyway, I joined and went to the list of participating retailers and guess which one showed up at the top of the list? 1 and 1 Web Hosting and
