The site is www.wah101.com. I also wanted to familiarize myself with FTP because I need to change the domain, and Sielke is going to help me with that.

The theme I'm using is SmartBiz 1.0.6. It's got a pre-loaded picture for the "featured" section (which is currently hidden due to the picture issue) but I wanted to change it to one of my WAH images.

It says:
Upload your image here: http://www.wah101.com/wp-content/uploads/images/featured/

So you'll need to first create a images folder inside the uploads folder if you don't already have one, then create a featured folder inside the images folder.

Then you can upload the new image inside the featured folder.

When I say create a folder, it's also called create a directory.

You can also do all this via the hosting control panel and file manager.

I recommend that you post the name of theme and the exact error messages. Or just post a link to site and we can figure out what theme you're using.
What is the location it's asking you to create a folder to upload image?

Don't let the FTP beat you!! They can't and won't win...what are you using FTP for anyways. There are very FEW circumstances in which you need to use FTP if you have a Wordpress website.

I said "for now" lol! It's for the theme I'm using on one of my sites. You can't just upload the photo you want on word press. Apparently you have to create a folder and upload it to that. I did that, but the image kept showing up as that little error icon, so I'm taking a break from it to work on some other things. It's been all morning, lol! But I can see you feel strongly about it, so I will get it done soon! ;)

strange, i upload all my photos through my dashboard (except when I'm creating my own theme), what theme are you using?
