My life as a bum 2

Last Update: May 29, 2010

I know I am a bum because I would read member blogs for a whole hour but do not bother to 'act'.  Yeah, and then I will write my blog for an hour, too, I bet. Is there any patient editor/writer here?  If I hire you, what is the going rate? I got no clue... I was told that I have really funny crazy ideas, but as you can see, my writing sucks. I can't see how I would actually do article writing!  I love to read, and I am a good reader, so whenever I see my writing, I cringe!  Soon, my kids will be fixing my grammar.  They already navigate the internet ten times better than I do.

First of all, welcome to WA, hope you stick around for a while. It is perfectly fine to "take it all in" at first. Heck, if we all knew what we were doing, we would most likely not be here at WA.

Follow the lesson plans, post stuff on this blog like you did (you did good w/ your writing) , interact with everyone which will keep you motivated, and finally TAKE ACTION! However little it might be, it will at least help you keep the "ball rolling" in the right direction. I look forward to hearing from you soon and best of luck in your endeavors!

We're all bums occasionally--but I'd rather call it "learning from others". I think your writing is certainly good enough...but, if you decide to go the hired help route, I've had good luck posting in WA jobs. I always ask for a writing sample first and I can't recall ever paying more than $5 an article. If you request that, chances are, people will come in with a lower bid. You'll also want to request things like 2% keyword density (if you want to publish to ezine) a minimum number of paragraphs (if you use unique article wizard) and you'll need to provide the keywords you want to use. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions--I often get articles written for me when I'm short on time.

Hi Mommy of 2. You did just fine with this blog post. Writing is putting ideas and thoughts onto paper or screen. With practice and more practice it becomes easier. Not everyone is good at writing, but we can all write something and you can start from that. Don't give up. When I get stuck on writing, I just start writing whatever comes to mind. Eventually something concrete develops out of that and from that, I improve on it to make it better. You can keep a journal to practice writing out your ideas - if you're unsure of writing them out in this blog. You can also check out the Jobs For Hire part of WA - if you have a writing specific request. Good luck!
